The Vision: Pegasus Equestrian Resort & Venue
Nestled among the picturesque hills of Douglas County, Oregon, sits a 2,800-acre parcel of land, soon to be transformed into a world-class equestrian destination called Pegasus Equestrian Resort & Venue. The vision is that of Quinn and Drew Millegan, two brothers whose passions of business and equestrian sport led them to conceptualize an elite equestrian venue that aims to change the landscape of horse show market on the west coast.
The land’s topography affords a unique site plan that includes a state-of-the-art equestrian competition venue, luxury resort & spa, and Equine Experience Center (EEC), complete with a visitor center and winery. Though the site plans are diverse, the vision prioritizes equestrian competition. Plans for the multi-disciplinary equestrian venue include multiple indoor climate-controlled arenas, numerous outdoor grass and sand arenas, a combined driving course, a cross-country course and several full-size polo fields.
The site has received land usage approval (entitlements) as a resort and equestrian competition venue, and sustainability and environmental responsibility are at the forefront of the project. Quinn and Drew, along with the talented team of architects and engineers behind Pegasus Equestrian Resort & Venue, are committed to researching and implementing practices that work toward a green initiative.
Pegasus Equestrian Resort & Venue aims to become an elite competition venue on the west coast, but the vision extends far beyond the site’s fence line. The equestrian competition industry on the west coast of the United States has suffered greatly over the past 20 years from an oversight in venue investment. Through its future successes, Pegasus Equestrian Resort & Venue plans to give back to the both the equestrian industry and the community, anchoring local equestrian services and encouraging industry growth.
